How the Feature Process Works:

If your interview pitch is accepted as a match for my audience, I will email you a private, hidden link to secure your official Featured Author Interview Package. The full package requires a separate, premium completion fee to lock in your custom-formulated questions, permanent promotional asset formatting, and broadcast scheduling across my Substack network.

What’s Included in the Interview Package (if accepted)?

• Custom Formulated Questions: I don’t use a generic template. I personally review your author background and works to ensure I formulate deep, engaging questions that make your authentic voice shine.
• Promotional Marketing Asset: You will receive a permanent, shareable web link to your live feature, complete with clean book cover layouts, purchase links and your official author biography.
• Audience Reach: The final polished feature will be published prominently on my Substack network and my Facebook page and available for you to use as a high-value promotional asset for your ongoing marketing.

My Core Reading & Interview Genres:

To ensure maximum engagement from my audience, I prefer to interview authors writing in my favourite genres: psychological drama, thrillers, crime, mystery, legal dramas, family dramas, memoirs, and historical fiction.

I am happy to consider authors writing in other genres. (Please read the terms below before contributing to my Hot Chocolate Fund.)

⚠️ Critical Terms — Read Before Contributing:

• I reserve the right to decline an interview request if the genre and themes do not align with my audience, of if my schedule is at full capacity. My rejection is in no way a reflection on you or the quality of your work, but merely indicates a misalignment with my audience and business goals.
• Contributions to the Step 1 Evaluation Fund are non-refundable, regardless of whether your pitch is accepted or declined. This small fee directly compensates the professional time required to read and vet your submission details.
• An invitation to the interview feature is a premium service and requires an additional package contribution to secure your publication date. It does not purchase a biased feature; your authentic author voice remains the core focus.
